1. Hearthstone Ward
This is Frostcrown's residential center, designed around staying warm and reaching daily services without long exposed walks. Covered passages connect homes, groceries and gathering spaces during heavy snow.
Hearthstone Courts
Insulated homes surround shared courtyards with sheltered seating. Neighbors clear the paths together and check on households after heavy snowfall.
Snowbell Schoolhouse
Local children study in warm classrooms with drying racks beside the doors. A sheltered yard allows outdoor breaks when conditions permit.
Hearthstone Medical Center
The city's main healthcare facility handles everyday appointments and cold-weather injuries. A covered entrance makes arrivals easier during storms.
Covered Grocery Walk
Connected food shops sell staples, preserved produce and fresh deliveries when routes are open. Residents can complete most errands beneath one continuous roof.
Lantern Courtyard
A communal courtyard offers wind shelter and gathering benches. Residents share bread, soup and conversation around its heated meeting space.
2. Summit Court
Mountain administration, weather information and League competition share the city's high civic terrace. Residents visit for practical notices; athletes arrive for disciplined practice and official gym challenges.
Mountain Administration Hall
Clerks coordinate local services and publish mountain access notices. Travelers can confirm which offices handle guides, transport and rescue information.
Weather Observatory
Observers track wind, snowfall and conditions around the basin. Public displays translate readings into useful daily forecasts without allowing visitors onto working instruments.
Summit Gym
Frostcrown's Ice-type base gym emphasizes footing and deliberate movement on controlled icy terrain. Victory in its official challenge awards the Rime Badge.
Court Notice Shelter
A roofed meeting point holds weather bulletins and route closures. People stop here before committing to a journey beyond the sheltered streets.
Terrace Rest Room
A heated public room offers benches and space to remove wet outer layers. It is a practical refuge for visitors waiting between appointments or gym sessions.
3. Glacier Quay
The alpine waterfront supports lake work, supplies and seasonal transport. Activity changes with weather and ice conditions, so the quay is useful even when boats cannot safely operate.
Glacier Boathouses
Working crews store and maintain lake craft in broad timber sheds. Public departures use marked access points rather than the maintenance slips.
Lake Monitoring Station
Staff measure water conditions and track changing ice. Their posted notices determine which public lake activities are currently safe.
Quayside Fish Stalls
Seasonal catches and preserved fish are sold under sheltered counters. The busiest trade comes with the first deliveries of the day.
Cold Stores
Insulated warehouses hold perishable goods before distribution through the city. Loading areas remain separate from the lakeside walking path.
Stillwater Café
A sheltered café looks over the lake through broad windows. Hot drinks and quiet tables make it a favorite place to watch weather change.
4. Ironpine Works
Heating, maintenance and cold-weather equipment are the district's main business. Crews work here so homes stay warm and travelers can repair their kit before entering exposed terrain.
Heating Crew Depot
Municipal crews maintain the city's heating network from this busy service building. Residents report faults at a public desk while equipment leaves through the yard.
Ironpine Outfitters
Insulated clothing, traction gear and layered travel kit fill a practical shop. Staff check fit and explain care rather than promising that equipment makes every route safe.
Rope and Rivet Repairs
A repair shop specializes in damaged fastenings, packs and climbing equipment. Worn or unsafe items are clearly separated from gear ready for collection.
Winter Stores Yard
Covered depots protect heating supplies and maintenance materials from snow. Visitors stay on marked paths while crews move loads between sheds.
Service Tunnel Office
Maintenance workers coordinate access to the utility tunnels beneath the district. The tunnels are working infrastructure, not public shortcuts.
Woolhall Workshop
Local makers repair and weave cold-weather clothing. Shelves of mittens, scarves and patched coats lend warmth to an otherwise workmanlike lane.
5. Snowbell Rise
Guides, rescue services and lodgings support people heading toward the mountain paths. The district is also where delayed travelers wait out unsafe conditions rather than pressing on.
Snowbell Lodges
Small lodges offer meals and drying rooms near the upper approaches. Their common rooms fill with route stories and weather discussions in the evening.
Mountain Rescue Station
Trained rescue crews prepare equipment and coordinate emergency responses. Visitors can report concerns at the desk without entering operational areas.
Guide Offices
Local guides discuss routes, conditions and the abilities required for each outing. A booking never overrides a closure or a guide's safety judgment.
Warmstone Baths
Warm public baths provide recovery after long walks and cold shifts. Quiet seating rooms give people time to cool down before returning outside.
Upper Trail Gate
The maintained approach ends at a clearly marked access point. Weather notices and physical closures make it obvious when travel beyond the city is suspended.
